Non-Traditional Degree Track Program means that parents are not following the traditional federal and state mandated standard requirements to teach their children when it comes to the subjects learned in the public school system. Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Degree Track Program provides a traditional curriculum that meets the standards set forth by the state. Parents can choose to follow either Degree Track Program or a combination of the Non-Traditional and FLDOE Degree Track Program. Black Hawks Institute of Higher Learning provides the opportunity for parents to have the covering of a private (umbrella) school while being able to have creative control over the type of curriculum design they want their child to learn (What are standards? Education standards describe knowledge or skills that every student should learn and be able to do at each grade level. Education standards are set for each grade beginning with kindergarten and continuing through 12th grade).

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) program is offered as an option to parents by the state of Florida under the Black Hawks Organization. FLVS is free to all students living in the state of Florida. To the students living outside the state of Florida and the U.S.A, FLVS charges out of state tuition cost to all parents. High School students who qualify for the Dual Enrollment Program under the Black Hawks Institute of Higher Learning will have the opportunity to earn a college degree while earning their High School Diploma.

The Black Hawks Organization is currently registered with the Florida Department of Education as a Private School. The Department of Education (FL DOE# 8192) recognized BHO as non-profit private “Umbrella” school in the State of Florida and is in compliance with the state private school statutes.

Enrollment in BHIHL program requires students to meet the compulsory attendance laws of Florida. In addition, as part of our services, we provide diplomas, transcripts, portfolio assistance, and competitive pricing.
